Born in Hungary in 1981, Kinga Földi’s artistic journey began with a focus on woven textile design at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest. Transitioning from costume design for theaters to textile sculpting, she employs a rich spectrum of techniques as the foundation of her creations. Kinga’s textile sculptures, particularly those crafted using pin-tuck as a surface manipulation tool, draw inspiration from the natural world, presenting as imaginative creatures and gestures. She passionately explores the integration of these textile forms into our modern society.
