I was born and raised in Valencia during the wonderful ’90s. I studied Fine Arts and had the opportunity to spend a year abroad in Bratislava, Slovakia, where I learned everything I know about printmaking and traditional illustration. Later, I pursued a Master’s in Design and Illustration, which allowed me to work as a graphic designer in various studios and agencies in Madrid. There, I collaborated with numerous clients from the world of gastronomy and cuisine, which influenced me in many ways and became a recurring theme in my work.
Currently, I continue working independently from Madrid on editorial, personal, and product design projects.
My work is a reflection of my influences. Many elements in my daily life inspire me to create images that bring them together in a shared space. I am particularly drawn to still life compositions, the emotional relationships we have with objects, and the passage of time. My main influences come from outsider and self-taught art, but I also recognize the importance of classical works, such as Rousseau’s naïve paintings, Cézanne’s still lifes, or Maria Sibylla Merian’s botanical illustrations.
I usually work with digital media, but I always approach the process with an offline mindset. This way, I preserve the “mistakes” of the creative process, allowing them to become an expressive resource in the final piece.
